Canada has updated its travel advisory for India, to include a warning about protests and "negative sentiments" towards Canadians amid deteriorating Canada-India relations, reports CTV News.
This comes after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused India of involvement in the killing of Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, B.C. Following Trudeau's claim, Canada expelled an Indian diplomat. In retaliation, India expelled a Canadian representative, suspended visa services for Canadians, and advised its citizens in Canada to be vigilant due to "growing anti-India activities."
