Canadian ULCC Flair Airlines allegedly experienced a significant security lapse, leaving sensitive database and email credentials publicly accessible for around seven months, according to Cybernews.
The exposed information included database credentials, among other items, which the report says raised the risk of unauthorized access to passengers’ personal details like names, emails, addresses, and flight information. The exact extent of the exposed data remains unclear. Despite the public accessibility of these credentials since AUG 2022, the report says there is no confirmation if any malicious entities exploited the vulnerability.
Open Jaw cannot independently confirm the details of the report, and according to Cybernews, the airline hasn’t commented on the issue yet.
