Transat launched their summer brochure ultra early at ultra resto Blu in Yorkville last week. The restaurant has taken over the space that once housed the Omega bookstore and its bare brick ambiance and impeccable service was a fitting setting to gather some of the industry's European focussed top sellers.

Nancy Jackson, Transat's Commercial Director, Ontario & Atlantic Canada, explained that for the first time, the operator decided to bring all of their European product together under one cover.  Their 300 page Europe 2010-2011 book offers a one-stop shopping excursion covering Transat's Europe from all aspects - air, hotels, cars, river and Med cruises and a special emphasis on Italy and Greece. Transat has added capacity to Athens and Rome to meet the growing demand for these popular spots.

In keeping with the changing tastes of Canadian travellers searching for unique experiences, Transat is providing many opportunities for customized holidays -- from culinary to religious. It should be noted that the luncheon's culinary delights did supply a near religious experience, particularly the dark chocolate lava cake.

The usual EBB's were on hand to help secure early business. And Transat advises the best way to ensure you get it is to develop strong group selling skills. Group training is being offered across Canada and can be set up by contacting your Transat rep.
