Zoetry Puts Out the Wellness Carpet at Toronto Event

Zoëtry Wellness and Spa Resorts are busier than ever. They’re also expanding further into Europe.

Officials from a variety of Zoëtry resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico journeyed to downtown Toronto on 02Oct for an informal meet and greet with the trade.

Advisors were treated to oysters, sushi, and more in the 17th floor Terrace Room of the Park Hyatt Hotel. They also enjoyed a short lesson in how to make tasty ceviche, and got to try several wine pairings. There was also a steel drum band and a moisturizing demonstration by the head of operations at the hotel’s Stillwater Spa.

“Zoëtry celebrates the art of life,” said Carolina Bellina, Senior Director of Canadian Sales at Hyatt Inclusive Collection. “It’s the perfect place to create memorable moments.”

Bellina said Zoëtry already has a resort in Mallorca and is expanding into Greece. She also noted that resort bookings are ahead of 2019 levels.

“It’s been a remarkably productive year,” she said.

Bellina added that Zoëtry has new tools for travel advisors to use, and thanked agents for their ongoing support.

Gabriela Nunez, sales manager, Zoëtry Villa Rolanda Isla Mujeres, told Open Jaw her property has just 35 rooms, all of them oceanfront, and offers a complimentary transfer by yacht. There’s also yoga, stand-up paddleboarding and bike tours to Punta Sur, a former Mayan temple site dedicated to the goddess of fertility.

Zoëtry Montego Bay is a 49-room resort that has no check-in or check-out times, so guests can arrive or leave when they wish, said Kaylia Harrison, Director of Sales. It’s also just five minutes from the MoBay airport, and guests can get fast track immigration upon arrival. “It’s a true haven,” she said, “and it feels like Jamaica. There’s a rum bar, a jerk hut, and lots of wood, bamboo and other natural materials.”

Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana offers free horseback rides on the beach for its guests, as well as a free, 20-minute spa treatment, said Sales Manager Garivaldy Ubiera. The resort has 96 rooms and a new gym, and also offers snorkelling and cigar-rolling classes. If a guest stays in an ocean suite for seven nights or more they’re flown to the resort in a helicopter. They do weddings, but never more than one in a day.

Ursula Dorothea, Group Sales Manager, Zoëtry Curacao Resort and Spa, said Curacao boasts year-round flights from Toronto There are 72 suites now but they’ll add 52 more oceanfront suites and a new pool in November. The resort has a natural, calming feel and lush foliage. It’s just 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes to the colourful city centre of Willemstad.

Other properties:

Zoëtry Casa del Mar, Los Cabos. This resort features 57 rooms and suites. It’s been renovated and was inspired by Spanish-colonial hacienda architecture. The Cabo Tourist Zone is nearby and the Cabo Real Golf Club is just seconds away.

Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita, Riviera Maya. This is a secluded, oceanfront oasis with 90 rooms along the Puerto Morelos coast. It’s been awarded AAA Five-Diamond status 17 times.

Zoëtry Marigot Bay, Saint Lucia. The Zoetry in Saint Lucia is in beautiful Marigot Bay on the west coast, which makes it great for sunsets and romantic travel. It’s an all-suite, 124-room property nestled alongside a yacht club with gleaming white boats.

Zoëtry Mallorca is a 101-room and suite property built within an historic estate and has its own windmill and neo-Gothic church. The property is located in Llucmajor; 15 minutes from Mallorca’s International Airport and 20 minutes from the city centre of Palma.

Zoëtry also plans to open a resort in northern Greece next year, Zoëtry Halkidiki.
