Smoke from the relentless Canadian wildfires travelled thousands of miles to reach Florida, reports USA Today.
Before settling over Florida, the smoke covered parts of the Northeast and moved over the Atlantic, enveloping cities like Miami in a haze. On 03OCT, areas near Orlando, Jacksonville, and other Florida cities reported "unhealthy" air quality.
The smoke also affected New York City earlier this year, prompting air quality concerns. Over the summer, smoke from more than 6,000 Canadian wildfires impacted U.S. skies, with over 800 still active. These fires have burned an area exceeding Florida's total land size, highlighting the scale of the disaster.
