WestJet's seasonal sun destination inaugural launches have been taking off all week including the Wednesday morning departures of non-stop flights between Toronto and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos and between Toronto and Cayo Coco, Cuba.
"The Turks and Caicos islands are an exciting new adventure for WestJet," said Hugh Dunleavy, WestJet Executive Vice-President of Strategy and Planning adding, "Cayo Coco is everything you can imagine in a tropical oasis. Peace and quiet, flawless white-sand beaches and an aquamarine ocean just begging to be enjoyed. The Caribbean is a popular choice for Canada's winter travellers, and Cayo Coco is now another superb option for our guests to see Cuba. We are going to keep expanding our reach into the Caribbean, because we know that Canadian travellers want to get somewhere hot each winter!"
WestJet will fly between Toronto and Providenciales three times per week from now until May 1, 2010 and between Toronto and Cayo Coco twice per week, each Wednesday and Saturday, as a seasonal charter operated by WestJet Vacations, also until May 1, 2010.
