Royal Caribbean's Vicki Freed Anticipates Cancellations Due to War in Israel

Vicki Freed, Senior VP of Royal Caribbean International, expects potential cruise cancellations due to the ongoing conflict in Israel, reports Travel Weekly.

While the impact on the cruise industry remains uncertain, Royal Caribbean has already cancelled two cruises scheduled to depart from Israel, rerouting to Greece and Turkiye.

Freed highlights the importance of sensitivity to consumers, offering refunds or future cruise credits for those wanting to cancel. The conflict is reminiscent of Russia's war with Ukraine, which led to altered cruise itineraries. Freed emphasized the need for travellers to feel at ease and focused on their cruise experience during these challenging times.
