Expanded Canada-Panama Air Transport Agreement to Allow More Flights Between Both Countries

The Canada-Panama Air Transport Agreement has been expanded, allowing airlines from both nations to introduce more flight options.

Announced by Transport Minister Pablo Rodriguez, the new terms permit each country's airlines to operate 14 passenger flights weekly, a significant increase from the previous nine.

Additionally, there's no limit on all-cargo flights. This enhancement aims to cater to the growing Canada-Panama market, bolstering global connectivity, tourism, and trade activity. Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, emphasized the agreement's role in deepening commercial ties and supporting Canadian businesses in the Latin American sector. The revised agreement takes effect immediately.
