Porter Airlines has announced the launch of daily service between Ottawa International Airport (YOW) and Calgary International Airport (YYC). The route is the airline's latest addition to a growing network since the introduction of its Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
The new service starts on 14FEB 2024, marking its latest expansion into Western Canada from Ottawa, complementing existing flights to Vancouver (YVR) and Edmonton (YEG) and providing connections to Eastern Canada and the U.S. On 21SEP, Open Jaw reported Porter Airlines' previously-announced daily flights between Victoria, B.C. (YYJ) and Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) had launched.
In a statement, Porter said that service between YOW and YYC will be offered at an introductory roundtrip fare starting at CAD $459.
“This route is another way for passengers to travel across Canada with Porter, including significant connecting flight options via Ottawa. Passengers can look forward to enjoying an elevated economy experience they won’t find anywhere else," said Kevin Jackson, EVP and CCO of Porter Airlines.
