Booking, Expedia, Tripadvisor Form Coalition to Fight Fake Reviews

Booking.com, Expedia Group, and Tripadvisor have formed a global coalition to combat fake reviews and ensure credible customer feedback, reports PhocusWire.

Joined by Amazon, Glassdoor, and Trustpilot, the group plans to create industry-wide standards for recognizing fake reviews, share best practices for review hosting, and exchange information about fraudulent actors.

A conference in San Francisco marked its inception, with a subsequent meeting set for Brussels. The initiative underscores customer reviews' significant influence in various sectors, emphasizing the urgency to combat false information.
