Hurricane Tammy, the seventh hurricane of the 2023 Atlantic season, struck the northeast Caribbean islands, causing severe impacts. Making landfall on Barbuda with 90 mph winds, the storm affected over a dozen island nations with strong winds, heavy rain, and dangerous currents.
As of 23OCT, Tammy was 230 miles north-northwest of Anguilla, moving north with 80 mph winds. AccuWeather forecasts suggest Tammy will shift further into the Atlantic as a Category 1 hurricane.
