Abortion Bans and Anti-LGBTQ Laws are Complicating Business Travel

Business travel is resurging post-Covid. Still, challenges arise with increasing abortion bans and anti-LGBTQ laws, reports NBC News.

Companies and event organizers are considering the safety of their employees in states with such restrictions. Since Roe v. Wade's overturn, many states have reduced abortion access, and there are 180+ bills limiting LGBTQ rights. While some businesses threaten state boycotts over these policies, others are subtly adjusting their travel strategies due to concerns such as a late-stage pregnancy with sudden complications.

The focus on employees' safety and well-being has expanded, leading firms to reevaluate travel policies. However, the response isn't universal, and regional politics play a role in business travel decisions.
