Industry Veteran Neil Winter Dies At 73

Recently retired Chairman of Advantage Travel, Neil Winter, died on Saturday August 29th following a severe stroke.  Neil had been very actively involved in the travel industry for many years having served as the Chairman of the Travel Industry Council of Ontario and as President of Destination Canada. Neil was also active within ACTA, CSTAR and Skal. He had been Vice President of International Sales for Holiday Inn Canada.

Neil is survived by his wife Doreen and children Karen, Patrick and Karen Winter and Stuart and Brian Morcombe. The Family will receive friends  at the Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens,  3164 Ninth Line Oakville, Ontario on Wednesday, September 2nd from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  www.glenoaks.ca

A celebration of Neil's life will be held on Thursday, September 3rd 2009 at 11 a.m. at Glen Oaks.

Long time business colleague Doreen Lynch sent the following remembrance, "Neil was a gentleman & a gentle man.

His integrity and ethics in all of his actions both personal and business, were and are a benchmark for us all to aspire to. Trust you'll agree that if the world were more populated by people like Neil, it would be a far better place for us all. He will be much missed."
