Janice Ketchen has been appointed Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Minicards Canada which is a distributor of wallet sized promotional offers for the tourism industry.

Minicards are credit card sized coupons that provide hotel guests and in-market travellers with information and discounts for restaurants, attractions, retail outlets and other locations. The compact format makes Minicards easy for tourists to keep them handy in their pocket, purse or wallet.

Currently Minicards are distributed in wall-mounted or free-standing racks in over 180 hotels and attractions across the Greater Toronto Area. The wholly owned Canadian company plans to expand its marketing reach across Canada over the next few years.

Janice Ketchen, the founder and President of the Ontario Tourism Network and a current member of Skǻl International, has over 25 years' experience in the Canadian tourism industry. She was previously contracted by itravel2000.com to develop a dedicated itravelcanada website which promoted commissionable Canadian travel packages. From 1999 to 2004, the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC) contracted her to develop the "Ontario Backroads and Getaways" program. Ms. Ketchen was also the Director of Marketing & Sales for CANTOURS, a Toronto-based inbound receptive tour operator.

In her new role, Janice will expand the advertising and distribution network of Minicards Canada and develop partnerships with corporate and community-based organizations.
