‘Security Issue’ Causes Delays at Pearson’s Terminal 1 for Second Day in a Row

For the second consecutive day, travel chaos ensued at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) Terminal 1 as a security issue caused delays, leading to frustrated passengers and delayed flights to the US, reports CityNews.

The Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA) confirmed the disruption was caused by a ground handler who directed passengers arriving on a domestic flight into a restricted area beyond US customs. While the airport confirmed that the issue had been resolved, it continues to cause longer wait times at T1 security; passengers are advised to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
