MSC Cruises has confirmed the order for two vessels, known as World Class 3 and 4, to be constructed at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France, reports Travel Weekly.
Set for delivery in 2026 and 2027, these ships will run on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and incorporate innovative energy-efficient technologies, including heat recovery.
This order follows the recent delivery of MSC World Europa and precedes MSC World America, with an option for a fifth ship. MSC Cruises aims for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
