WestJet Airlines CEO Alexis von Hoensbroech predicts a welcome shift in airfare dynamics this winter and next summer, reports Reuters.

With increased capacity to leisure destinations, prices are anticipated to dip, providing Canadians with more affordable travel options. The airline's acquisition of Sunwing is also set to boost sun destination offerings.

As the industry seeks equilibrium, post-pandemic disruptions, von Hoensbroech anticipates a more balanced pricing structure, especially for transatlantic travel in the upcoming summer.
