Boeing Maiden 737 MAX 10 Flight; Full Certification May Be Delayed to 2025

Boeing’s 737 MAX 10 embarks on its first certification flight following FAA approval, reports Simple Flying.

Despite over 1,000 flight hours and positive performance feedback, the MAX 10 faces extensive testing standards, intensified after previous MAX crashes. Delays, particularly affecting the MAX 7 and 10, prompt concerns from major carriers like Southwest.

Boeing anticipates full MAX 10 certification by late 2024, but industry sources speculate potential delays into 2025. The MAX 10, Boeing's largest in the family, has an 810 aircraft backlog and accommodates up to 230 passengers, navigating up to 3,100 nautical miles.
