Flights Rounded and Trains Cancelled in Germany as Freezing Weather Hits Europe – It Happened

Munich Airport experiences disruption as freezing rain halts takeoffs and landings. The airport announces de-icing efforts with plans to resume air traffic from midday, but warns of potential cancellations throughout the day for safety reasons.

This follows the airport's closure on Saturday due to heavy snowfall. Munich's main train station closed, and Deutsche Bahn (DB), the national rail operator, warned of "massive disruptions" continuing into the week.

Passengers were advised to cancel unnecessary journeys as the country grapples with the aftermath of the snow-related disruptions.
