'Robust' Holiday Travel Season Incoming, Despite Economic Challenges: Porter CEO

Michael Deluce, President and CEO of Porter Airlines, is expecting a busy holiday season and doesn’t expect a passenger drop-off this year despite inflation.

“The holiday season is shaping up to be an extremely robust environment, so at this point, we’re not seeing any signs of weakening of what has been a very strong demand environment for the last year,” Deluce told BNN Bloomberg.

Porter is expanding rapidly from a regional airline to a North American one as it adds 50 new Embraer E195-E2 jets to its fleet. Deluce adds Porter is well-capitalized privately and has no plans to go public.
