To date, only three small-ship cruise lines have announced they will require passengers to be vaccinated for COVID-19 before setting sail (Saga, and sister lines American Queen Steamboat Company and Victory Cruise Lines). But that could change in the coming months. “What we might see is that the ports that the cruise ships visit might ultimately dictate whether or not passengers need to be vaccinated. If some of these ports are coming out and saying, ‘You can't come into our country if you have not been vaccinated,’ well, that's going to make the decision for the cruise lines and for the passengers,” says Colleen McDaniel, editor-in-chief of Cruise Critic.
