Alaska Airlines Returning to Toronto

Alaska Airline officials have revealed that they plan to begin flights between YYZ and SEA (Seattle-Tacoma) on 16MAY 2024. The carrier flew nonstop between LAX and YYZ in the 1990s.

“We’re always focused on better connecting the Pacific Northwest with additional nonstops in our network,” said Kirsten Amrine, vice president of revenue management and network planning for Alaska Airlines. “There’s a strong desire by our guests for a Seattle-Toronto flight that connects a pair of exciting cities not only for leisure travel but also links key business centers between the U.S. and Canada.”

Flights will be on the Boeing 737-900ER aircraft. Flights will depart daily from SEA a 7 am. local time, arriving at YYZ at 2:40 p.m. Return flights will depart YYZ at 3:40 p.m. EST and arrive at SEA at 5:55 p.m.

Toronto marks the sixth Canadian destination for Alaska Airlines, in addition to Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver and Victoria.

It also recently announced a global partnership with Porter Airlines.
