CruiseWeek: Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas Delayed

Star of the Seas

Royal Caribbean International has delayed the launch of Star of the Seas, the second Icon-class ship.

The message from a Royal Caribbean spokesperson reads:

Royal Caribbean International has adjusted the previously scheduled debut of Star of the Seas to Aug. 31, 2025. The new ship, currently under construction in Turku, Finland, will be delivered later than anticipated, which has unfortunately required the cancellation of the 17AUG and 24AUG, 2025, sailings.

Guests booked on the cancelled cruises can rebook their vacation on another ship or move to Star’s first sailing on Aug. 31. We have communicated these updates to guests and travel partners.
