Leon Mulder, Business Development Director, Allianz

Allianz Global Assistance (Allianz) announced Leon Mulder's appointment as its new business development director.

Mulder will oversee Allianz’s business development initiatives, new partnerships and existing relationships within the travel and eComm sales channels.

“We are excited to welcome Leon to our national sales team at Allianz,” said Kyle Sparkman, chief sales officer of Allianz Global Assistance. “Leon’s extensive experience in the travel space, proven track record and visionary approach to business development align perfectly with Allianz’s mission to provide Canadian travellers with unparalleled travel protection and peace of mind.”

Mulder joins Allianz with over 22 years of experience in business development, having most recently concluded an 11-year tenure at Booking Holdings, where he held various roles across multiple brands within the company.

For the past two years, he has served as the senior country manager for KAYAK Canada. Before this, he managed global hotel partnerships on behalf of Agoda with Wyndham and Choice Hotels.

Regarding his new role, Mulder said, “I am honoured to join Allianz Global Assistance at such an exciting time – when Canadians are prioritizing travel like never before. Finding the perfect way to protect travellers, regardless of where, when, or how they book their trip, is paramount to our success, and I look forward to exploring that with partners across Canada.”
