Good Morning America was able to board the Celebrity Milennium, the first ship to sail with guests from America since the beginning of the pandemic. The ship set sail from St. Maarten on 05JUN with 95% of the passengers and the entire crew vaccinated, and is operating at 30% capacity. All adult passengers were required to show proof of vaccination before boarding the ship as well as present negative COVID-19 tests to enter St. Maarten and Barbados. As a result of the low occupation rates and vaccination requirements, no social distance or masks are required from guests. For additional safety measures, the infirmary is now staffed with two doctors and 11 nurses. The line has also added more ventilators and isolation rooms in the event someone tests positive for COVID-19. Americans on board the Millennium will also have to get tested on the ship before flying back to the U.S. "We haven't done this in 15 months and so it's a big, big weekend for us," Celebrity CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo told ABC News.
