Swoop Becomes First Canadian Airline to Return to Full Service; New Flights and New Addition to Fleet

Swoop Airlines will become the first Canadian airline to return to full service, with all nine of its planes operating domestically this summer, and the line adding a tenth jet to its fleet this winter.

In addition, the ultra-low-cost carrier has announced its winter schedule, including non-stop domestic service and the re-introduction of flights to the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

The airline is responding to increased travel demand for this summer.

"We've seen a significant increase in demand for travel this summer, most especially in provinces where vaccination and re-opening plans are on track and clearly outlined," said Charles Duncan, President of Swoop.

Swoop will be adding its tenth Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft to its fleet this winter, when it is expected to begin service. The airline also re-introduced 15 domestic flights to service, and 16 international ones, including Cancun, Montego Bay, Puerto Vallarta, Las Vegas, and more.

"Consumer confidence is coming back, and the message is clear, Canadians are ready to start planning that long overdue trip," Duncan continued. "When travellers are ready, we look forward to safely welcoming them back onboard our aircraft."
