TravelBrands announces that it will offer full refunds on vacation packages without third party assistance while protecting agent commission.

The refund policy will include all air & hotel bookings, including TravelGenie, Sunquest, and Exotik Journeys packages that have flights with Air Canada or Transat. If a refund cannot be secured on a land portion, a future travel voucher will still be applicable. Coverage dates include travel on or after 01FEB 2020, and new bookings as of 01JUN 2021, going forward.

The new policy will be made without government funding while also protecting agency commissions.

“Trust is paramount in any industry, especially the travel industry, and we saw an opportunity to do more,” says Frank DeMarinis, President & CEO, TravelBrands. “Our team worked relentlessly behind the scenes to deliver a meaningful action plan that would positively impact the travel agent community and their clients. We will continue to redefine industry norms to renew confidence in the incredible travel experiences that are ahead of us.”
