Viking Welcomes First U.S. Guests Back in Bermuda For Summer Restart

Viking has now set sail for the first time in 15 months with American guests, welcoming guests aboard the Viking Orion in Hamilton, Bermuda.

Guests aboard the ship sailed the Bermuda Escape itinerary, the first of eight roundtrip sailings the cruise line has planned for summer 2021 departing from Hamilton.

Viking restarted operations on 22MAY 2021 in the U.K. with British Guests, and will launch "Welcome Back" sailings in Iceland and the Mediterranean later this month. In addition, Viking has previously announced plans to restart river operations in Europe with visits to Portugal and France in JUL.

“Today is an extraordinary milestone as the world continues to reopen for international travel. On behalf of the entire Viking family, we are delighted to welcome our loyal American guests back on board,” said Torstein Hagen, Chairman of Viking. “We applaud the government of Bermuda for its collaboration and support as we have restarted our operations. Bermuda has been a favorite destination among our guests since our ocean ships began calling there in 2017, and we look forward to introducing even more Viking guests to the island’s history, culture and phenomenal natural beauty.”

Limited space is still available for Viking's summer 2021 bookings.
