The U.S. hotel industry recorded its highest monthly performance levels since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to MAY 2021 data from STR, with occupancy reaching 59.3 per cent, the highest since FEB 2020. Among the top 25 American markets, Miami experienced the highest occupancy level at 74.2 per cent. Meanwhile, the markets with the lowest occupancy for MAY were Minneapolis and SAN Francisco/San Mateo.
