SimpleFlying has published a list of which countries are offering vaccines to travellers as an effort to bolster their respective tourism industries. Abu Dhabi is offering visitors with visas issued by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and those traveling on passports eligible for tourist visas to book a free vaccine appointment. The Maldives will offer tourists vaccines once all local residents have been vaccinated. Russia intends to have a vaccination tourism program in place by the end of JUN, according to President Putin. Travellers thinking about some ‘vaccine tourism’ should be aware that not all vaccines are recognized by all countries. Recently, some Canadians living abroad expressed frustration that they had gotten vaccinated with Russian or Chinese-developed vaccines, but since neither is approved by Health Canada, those Canadians will not be exempt from travel quarantines when they return to Canada.
