Costa Rica to Allow Cruise Ships with Vaccinated Travellers; 9 Cruise Lines Set to Return

Costa Rica is set to open to cruise ships on 01SEP, so long as all the crew and 95 per cent of passengers are fully vaccinated, with the exception of children. The country will only count travellers who are fully vaccinated as those who have received the final dose of a vaccine recognized by its own health authority 14 days before the ship embarks. According to Tourism Minister Gustavo J. Segura, ships from nine cruise lines are set to call in Costa Rica: Windstar, Lindblad, Sea Cloud, Seabourn Quest, Celebrity Millennium, Carnival Pride, Crown Princess, Diamond Princess and Seven Seas Mariner. In addition to vaccination, passengers must complete the epidemiological “Health Pass” form 72 hours prior to their arrival in the country.
