Carnival Joins RCI; Adds Testing Fees Plus Insurance Requirement for Non-Vaxxed Pax

Carnival Cruises is joining Royal Caribbean by adding testing fees and a travel insurance requirement for non-vaccinated travellers. Now, on voyages sailing from Florida, travellers who cannot certify that they are vaccinated will be required to pay USD $150 for a COVID-19 test and travel insurance. "We know that this puts an expense on the cruise that you probably didn't account for when you booked the cruise, but we have to keep everybody safe," said Carnival brand ambassador John Heald. Royal Caribbean has also announced similar policies, but for Carnival, the cost of testing includes everyone in the non-vaccinated travellers party, including those under the age of 12.
