Qatar Adds 105 Hotels Ahead of World Cup

Qatar has announced that the country will add 105 more hotels and rental apartment properties in preparation of hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2022. Qatar will be adding to its current portfolio of 184 hotels. Among the properties due to open before the tournament begins are the Pullman Doha West Bay, the Steigenberger Hotel Doha and the JW Marriott West Bay. Qatar Airways group chief executive and chairman of Qatar Tourism, Akbar Al Baker, said: "These upcoming properties are part of our strategy to diversify our offering and broaden our appeal to visitors.”
