Emerald Cruises’ culinary sailing through Portugal in partnership with Canadian celebrity chef Michael Bonacini has been rescheduled to 23-30JUL 2022.

The company notes that the eight-day trip along the Douro river on the 112-pax Emerald Radiance still has a few open spots remaining.

The Radiance will depart Porto with chef Bonacini as the guest host, during which pax will be treated to a variety of culinary experiences. This includes Portuguese-inspired dinners, a private cocktail reception, a visit to a farmers’ market in Salamanca, dinner at a rural wine estate and live cooking demonstrations. Additionally, two pax will be entered to win a chance to cook alongside chef Bonacini.

“Having spent the last year dreaming about being able to safely travel once again, I’m thrilled to be joining Emerald Cruises and my fellow travellers on this once-in-a-lifetime foodie experience,” said Chef Bonacini in a statement. “I think many of us have been craving new and exciting adventures, and I have no doubt that Portugal, as one of the world’s top culinary destinations, will satiate our collective wanderlust.”

Bonacini is the co-founder of Oliver and Bonacini Hospitality, which includes a portfolio of Canadian restaurants like Canoe, Mason Selby, Bar George and Braven. He’s also a regular on TV, with appearances in The Marilyn Denis Show and MasterChef Canada among others.

Emerald is offering savings to Canadians of $1,250 per person if they book by 31AUG.

More info on the culinary cruise can be found on Emerald’s website.
