The Scottish government announced that the country will be opening up to cruises once again on 19JUL 2021 - but only for U.K.-only sailings with U.K. passengers. The first cruise ship to call in Scotland since the beginning of the pandemic was Noble Caledonia’s Island Sky, which arrived in Lerwick Harbour, Shetland on 19JUL with 66 passengers on board. On 25JUL, Marella Cruises' Marella Explorer 2 will call at the Port of Cromarty Firth. “This marks a major milestone in our managed return to “normality,” which is a moment the whole country has been working towards,” said Bob Buskie, chief executive, Port of Cromarty Firth.
