YVR Celebrates 90 Years of Service with '90 Moments'

YVR is celebrating 90 years of service with a blog post and a timeline of its past 90 years in '90 moments.'

What was once a single runway airport with two hangars, a two-story administration building, a floatplane harbour and a control tower is now Canada's second busiest airport.

The YVR team has prepared a timeline of its 90 years of history in just 90 moments, showcasing major milestones such as terminal expansions, environmental achievements, route launches, community partnerships, and even before it was an airport with since the first sunrise over Sea Island and chronicles YVR's relationship with the Musqueam people.

The blog post stated: "While we reflect today on 90 years and celebrate all we’ve accomplished together, the real message we wanted to send along to everybody – our community, our business partners and our employees – is thank you. Thank you for your support. Thank you for your contributions. Thank you for your ongoing dedication to making YVR great and helping us connect BC proudly to the world. We couldn’t have done any of it without you."

YVR has provided two links for its timeline, but notes that it may take a while to load.
