The more transmissible version of COVID-19, the Delta variant, is putting a damper on many travellers’ hopes for the 2021 summer travel season. Many countries have put up new travel advisories due to the increased spread of the variant. Recently, the U.S. put out advisories for Cyprus, Israel, Kyrgyzstan, Portugal and Spain to either reconsider travel, or not travel at all.
