Turtle Bay Resort has reopened on Oahu’s North Shore after a major renovation. The resort, which occupies 1,300 oceanfront acres, now includes a new category of rooms, the Ocean Bungalows, re-conceived its cuisine programs, and refreshed its lobby and pool areas. It is also set to renovate 410 guestrooms and suites in the main building throughout the rest of 2021. The 42 new Ocean Bungalows are clustered in groups of six and are steps from the water, with 15-foot vaulted ceilings and private lanais that open to the living areas for a more secluded experience. They will also feature a private pool area for the exclusive use of its guests. The resort’s entire food and beverage program, overseen by Chef Gilles Epié, has been reconceived to celebrate the local culture and ingredients grown on the island. The pool area has been renovated to include a new adults-only pool, redesigned family-friendly pool, and front-row views of the ocean. Meanwhile, the lobby has been upgraded with windows replacing the walls and new art from Hawaii-based artists.
