Tahiti Updates Travel Restrictions, Including Curfew

Travel restrictions for the Islands of Tahiti have been updated. From 23AUG to 06SEP 2021, travel within the islands is restricted for the following reasons only: work, family, health and essential goods purchase, and this measure may be renewed depending on the future health situation. The government notes that its borders remain open, and commercial flights are still operating. Tourists already on the island can continue their trip as long as they follow the travel restrictions. Tourists can travel within their accommodations and use the hotel or resort amenities, as well as travel to and from the airport or ferry terminals. Visitors who have an itinerary with a change of accommodation can travel and take the domestic flight on which they are booked. However, cruise ships are suspended throughout French Polynesia, and its curfew is now 8pm to 4am.
