Fourth Annual Caribbean Rum Awards Set for NOV 2021 in St. Barth

Rum and Cigar

The fourth annual Caribbean Rum Awards have been set for 02-07NOV 2021 in St. Barth's capital of Gustavia, according to Caribbean Journal. The event is a week-long series of rum and cigar events, anchored by the main competition, a blind-tasting of some of the top international rums.

The competition is set in the Rhum Room, owned by world-renowned rum expert Christopher Davis and home to the largest collection of fine rums in the Western Hemisphere.

“We’re so excited to be back for another edition of the Caribbean Rum Awards, following what was one of the world’s only in-person rum events last year,” said Alexander Britell, editor and publisher of Caribbean Journal and co-founder of the Caribbean Rum Awards.

“This year’s event has an exciting lineup of some of the world’s leading rum producers. If you love fine rum, this is an event not to be missed.”

Lovers of the Caribbean's iconic, sugar cane-based spirit can enjoy master classes, cocktail parties, private tastings and rum and cigar pairings throughout the event, as well as cocktail-pairing dinners at Gustavia's Quarter Kitchen and Cocktail Lab restaurant.

Master classes include lessons from rum experts like Gregory Vernant of Martinique’s Rhum Neisson and Eduardo Bacardi of Ron del Barrilito, among others. Nighttime festivities include a rum and cigar pairing on 02NOV and special tasting parties at the Rhum Room each night.

Only the Accutron Rum Expo on 04nov is open to the public, but VIPs have access to all events. For more information on the Caribbean Rum Awards and how to attend, click here.

The Awards are part of St. Bart's "Gourmet Month," with the St. Barth Gourmet Festival set for the week after.
