Air Transat Only Refunding Flights Departing the UK to Canada

Air Transat confirmed it will only refund the return portion of COVID-cancelled flights travelling from the UK to Canada. For flights departing Canada to the UK, Air Transat is offering a future travel credit, with no expiry date. It says the decision was taken as a result of its interpretation of the EU airline refund regulations, which it claims does not mean it has to provide cash refunds for flights from airports outside the EU – but only for flights departing from airports in member states.
