A sign on Oceana Cruises' Marina said "Welcome Back Home" to guests after 18 months.

Oceania Cruises resumed sailing for the first time in almost 18 months, beginning with a departure from Copenhagen on 29AUG 2021 aboard Marina.

"Today is one of those days we will all remember for a lifetime as we reunite with our shipboard families and our guests to start exploring the world once again," stated Bob Binder, President and CEO of Oceania Cruises.

Marina's 29AUG cruise began in Copenhagen and will sail to ports in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland prior to concluding in Stockholm. The ship will spend the remainder of the summer and autumn season cruising around Western Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Greek Isles prior to setting sail for Miami, where it will arrive on 01DEC 2021.

As part of its return efforts, the line is taking a phased restart plan to protect guests, crew and communities visited.

Marina is the first ship to resume sailing for Oceania Cruises and will be followed by Riviera, which resumes sailing in the Greek Isles on 18OCT 2021, and Insignia from Miami on 21DEC 2021, to begin the six-month-long "Around the World in 180 Days" itinerary. Sirena resumes sailing in the Caribbean on 21JAN 2022, and Regatta will start sailing on 05FEB 2022 in Polynesia followed by Nautica in the Mediterranean on 01APR 2022.

All Oceania voyages are operating with a full vaccination requirement for all guests and crew. Oceania Cruises has also implemented its SailSAFE Health and Safety Program which was developed with guidance from its team of public health and scientific experts including the SailSAFE Global Health and Wellness Council and the Healthy Sail Panel.

Details on the SailSAFE program can be found here. The line notes that the protocols may change in the future depending on available scientific information and technology.
