The Australian federal government announced that vaccine passports are set to be launched in OCT 2021, and that it is in talks with other countries to determine which vaccines will be recognized on its platform. The resumption of international travel is also set to resume in a few months as vaccine coverage in the country slowly reaches its 80 per cent goal. “The Morrison government continues to work towards vaccine assurance standards that will be one element of enabling vaccinated Australians to move and travel more freely,” said government spokesman Stuart Robert, the cabinet minister in charge of digital and data policy. Currently, Australia has fully vaccinated 39 per cent of its over-16 population with almost 64 per cent with at least one dose.
