Will Canadians with Mixed-Vaccine Doses be Blocked from U.S. Flights?

With news that America will be reopening flights to fully vaccinated international travellers in NOV, Canadians with mixed-dose vaccines are nervously eyeing specific travel regulations, worried that they may be barred from travel. The U.S. has yet to approve the mixing of COVID-19 vaccines, meaning large numbers of Canadians who had two different shots might not be considered vaccinated south of the border. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) currently says that COVID-19 vaccines are “not interchangeable.” In Canada, 3,8 million were given the green light to mix shots. However, the Globe and Mail says that Canadians should not be so worried, as there is some wiggle room within the CDC’s requirements, and Canada is not the only country to mix-and-match vaccines.
