The survey was commissioned by IATA with 4,700 respondents in 11 markets in SEP 2021. The survey found that 67 per cent of respondents feel most country borders should be open now, up by 12 points from a similar JUN survey. 64 per cent of respondents feel that border closures are unnecessary and have not been effective in containing the virus, up by 11 per cent compared to JUN. Additionally, 73 per cent of respondents feel that their quality of life is suffering as a result of COVID-19 travel restrictions, up by 6 per cent from JUN.
