Guidance on Proof-Of-Vaccination Rules; Still Unclear Whether CDC will Allow Mixed Doses

Following the announcement that Canada has mandated full vaccination for travel, questions remain. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), despite recently announcing it will accept travellers fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca, have not provided any details as to whether mixed vaccine doses will be allowed. The CBC has learned that regarding mixed doses, the CDC would release "additional guidance and information as the travel requirements are finalized." Canada’s National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) has not yet recommended a third vaccine shot to Canadians simply for the ability of international travel. The CBC also clarified that showing a negative COVID-19 test instead of proof of vaccination for travel will no longer be an option as of 30NOV 2021.
