Looking to Travel? Get Ready to Pay More for Things like Insurance and COVID Tests

With travel on the rise, travellers may have to watch out for increased costs for their vacations, including new add-ons like insurance, additional masks, COVID-19 testing, and more. Melanie Schaffer from Montreal took a trip recently and saw additional expenses add up, from airfare and costlier hotel prices to travel health insurance coverage and additional cancellation insurance. Schaffer also put away extra cash to cover quarantine costs at her destination, and was surprised at the high costs of COVID-19 tests, totalling around CAD $450 for a test at home and for returning.
