The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as the State Department, warned American citizens to not visit the ultramodern city-state of Singapore due to a “very high level of COVID-19,” despite the destination’s 82 per cent vaccination rate. According to Johns Hopkins University data, the Southeast Asian country has had a record high 70,374 COVID-19 cases in the last 28 days. On 18OCT, the State Department also urged Americans to reconsider travel to Poland, Hungary, Cyprus, Tunisia and Angola due to areas with "increased risk" of COVID-19.
