Pfizer has officially asked Health Canada to approve the first COVID-19 vaccine for children aged five to 11 years old. If approved, providers could start offering vaccine shots to kids, with child-sized doses around one-third of the size given to those aged 12 and over. Should these new doses for children be approved and widely administered, children would not have to go into an isolation period upon returning to Canada, and could cruise on cruise lines which require full vaccination of all passengers.
