While travel is beginning to resume for Canadians, especially with the U.S. border reopening on 08NOV, there are still some questions about COVID-19 travel rules for those under the age of 12 who cannot be vaccinated just yet. Currently, unvaccinated children do not have to quarantine when returning to Canada, but cannot attend group settings like school, daycare or camp for 14 days after their return, and must avoid contact with people 65 years of age or older, among others. For unvaccinated children aged five and older, families have to provide negative COVID-19 results from tests taken right before entry, upon arrival, and eight days after coming back.
